Sales Development Manager (Nordics) for our unique single-cell format technology

We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager (Nordics) to help bring novel, advanced products for single-cell analysis to the market

The position

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Sales Development Manager with experience in selling technical equipment and consumables to research institutions as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The intended main responsibility is for the Nordic countries, but you will also provide support in other territories initially.

Functional analysis is instrumental in cell therapy and cell line development. However, the current tools applied for this essential work are inadequate because they cannot provide the needed high-resolution cell analysis. Samplix has developed a fast, affordable, and easy-to-use single-cell technology: our two instruments, Xdrop and Xdrop Sort; a family of single-use microfluidic cartridges; unique, proprietary reagents; and software tools for various applications. Our goal is to help democratize true single-cell format technology, making it accessible to every laboratory.

Our customers aspire to overcome challenges in the life sciences and medicine, and they come from the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology industry, universities, and hospitals.

For this position, you’ll need strong technical knowledge in cell biology, immunology, and mammalian biology in general. You’ll need to collaborate with our established, dynamic team of talented professionals to grow Xdrop sales in your region. This will require strong business acumen and the ability to build a territory strategic sales plan to deliver on commercial targets.

This position reports to the VP of Commercial Operations and the workplace is our headquarters in Birkerød, Denmark.

Main responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationship with key decision makers and other customers through technical consultation on products and understanding of customer business needs
  • Building and executing a territory business plan (in alignment with the Field Application Scientists, Product Manager, and marketing team) to meet or exceed commercial targets for your region
  • Actively demonstrating strong prospecting and closing skills
  • Committing to accurate and timely sales process management, including sales forecasting and pipeline management through the CRM system (salesforce) and other relevant IT tools
  • Conducting technical sales presentations for customers and key opinion makers as well as at workshops or seminars (primarily in your region)
  • Working actively with the marketing, product management, and R&D teams to ensure feedback from the market is disseminated through the company

Ideal background and character

  • Minimum 2 years of consultative sales experience in the life sciences and cell biology market, with knowledge of immunology being an advantage
  • A Master’s or PhD
  • A history of working with key thought leaders in cell biology
  • A background in selling equipment for flow cytometry and cell sorting
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • The ability to work independently as well as to collaborate with colleagues and external partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of your working time

We offer

We offer a great job with development opportunities in a highly motivating, professional, multidisciplinary, and friendly environment. You may be looking for a new career path or you may simply be looking to make a difference in a small and highly dedicated organization. You will be offered the opportunity to spearhead and drive the introduction of highly advanced products on a high scientific level for a highly motivated and educated group of customers around the world. The job will be challenging and rewarding at the same time.
