Join our international, interdisciplinary, dynamic team working on solutions to help researchers reach their goals in genomics and molecular biology.
Samplix ApS supports the life sciences and medical research communities with proprietary microfluidics-based solutions designed to capture the fundamental building blocks of life.
We're hiring! We have a senior position for a cell biologist in our applications development team; and an open internship position on our R&D team that's suited to an engineering student (undergraduate or post-graduate). See below for details on how to apply.
We’re looking for a scientist with a background in mammalian cell biology and/or in engineered cell and gene therapy to join our international and interdisciplinary team.
This senior open position involves developing new applications for cutting-edge single-cell technologies, with a focus on functional mammalian cell assays that will make engineered cell therapy safer, more robust, and more accessible.
As a senior cell biologist on the applications development team, you’ll work to demonstrate single-cell resolution in functional mammalian cell assays using Samplix’s double-emulsion droplet technology. We collaborate with key opinion leaders as well as performing experiments in our own laboratories. Our goal is to develop single-cell assays that help make engineered cell therapy safer, more robust, and more accessible. Other applications under consideration include high-throughput screening, and cell line development.
As this is a senior position, you’ll run your own projects with the assistance of our skilled technicians and in close collaboration with our R&D team and external collaborators. This involves planning and performing cell functional assay experiments, data analyses, and communication of results in papers and presentations.
The position reports to our VP of Application Development and the workplace is our headquarters in Birkerød, Denmark.
Ideal background and character
We offer a great job with development opportunities in a highly motivating, professional, inclusive, and friendly environment. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small team that is spearheading the development of ground-breaking applications in a forward-thinking area of medicine.
The job is simultaneously challenging and rewarding. You will be part of an international team of world-class colleagues, enjoy flexible working hours, have 5 weeks of holiday as well as 5 extra days off (“feriefridage”), and a salary corresponding to your qualifications.
The application deadline is May 15, 2022. Please send your application through the Jobindex Quickapply application system (applications open on April 20). Applications will be considered as they are submitted. Your application will be treated in accordance with our policies for processing of personal data incorporating the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU.
We have an excellent opportunity for an engineering student looking for R&D experience. The position involves working alongside our internal and external engineers on our new Xdrop Sort instrument, which is designed for preparing single cells and DNA for downstream analyses. This proprietary instrument contains advanced lasers, optics, electronics, and pressure systems that together control the microfluidics-based droplet production and sorting.
You will be reporting to our Head of Engineering and your workplace will be at our headquarters in Birkerød, Denmark.
